Description : The 5k run/walk begins at 2pm. The event is family freindly and proceeds will benefit pediatric cancer research and programs for children with cancer. Festive attire is encouraged so let's put on our silly Christmas sweatshirts and run to help a great cause!

Description : 6pm - Party!!!! Let's get together to celebrate our successes, challenges and all the new friends we've made along the way. Bring something to share and we'll eat like the diva's we are. This is also our collection for our philanthropy, My sister House. Bring any wish list items and funds you have collected so they can be delivered to the charity as a combined donation. Visit the discussion board to let everyone know what you are bringing to the potluck so we don't all bring the same thing. ;) Diann has graciously offered her home for this event, thank you! Her address is: 8150 Scenic Trails Way, Sacramento, CA 95829 (Near Bradshaw and Calvine)

Description : Join the third annual Free to Breathe® 5K in Philadelphia, PA to raise awareness and funding to assist the fight against lung cancer! Date: Sunday, November 2, 2008 Race Location: Lloyd Hall at Fairmount Park, 1 Boathouse Row on Kelly and Sedgley Drives Philadelphia, PA 19130 Schedule of Events: 6:30AM - Registration Opens 8:00AM - Kick Off Rally 8:30AM - 5K Run 8:35AM - 5K Walk and 1 Mile Walk 9:35AM - Awards & Closing Ceremony Fees: $20 - Pre-registration fee $25 - Onsite registration fee Pre-Registration deadlines: Mail in registration will close Monday, October 27, 2008. Online registration will close Thursday, October 30, 2008. Racecourse: The Free to Breathe® race course is USATF certified and begins in Fairmount Part at Lloyd Hall on Kelly and Sedgely Drives. Runners will run north on Kelly Drive's paved path for 1.5 miles, alongside Philadelphia's famous Boat House Row, and turn around at the Columbia Avenue bridge. Runners will then proceed south and e asked to keep to the right (river side) of the center paved paths to the finish line at Lloyd Hall. Clocks and water will be stationed at the course start, approximate mid-point, and finish. Directions and Parking From the West: I-76 East towards Philadelphia; Exit 342 - Girard Ave/US 30 towards US-13/Phila Zoo; Turn left on Girard Ave; Turn right on Sedgley Drive; End at Lloyd Hall. From the East: I-76 West merge onto I-676 West; Exit left at US-30; Merge onto Vine Street Expressway/I-676 Wes/US-30 West; Exit toward Ben Franklin Pkwy; Right on 22 St; Left onto Ben Franklin Pkwy; Slight right on Kelly Dr; Right on Sedgley Dr; End at Lloyd Hall. Parking is available on Sedgley Drive.

Description : Beulah and Carmen are breast cancer survivors. Geraldine has lost family members to the disease and wants to fight back. Susan watched her mother win the battle with breast cancer and wants others to know there is hope. Like these women, we have all been affected by breast cancer in some way. And we all have the power to make a difference in the fight against the disease. That's why these women, along with 500,000 other passionate supporters, walk in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer every year to help achieve a future where breast cancer no longer threatens those we love. Thanks to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and dedicated people like you, we're making progress in the fight. Whether this is your first Making Strides Against Breast Cancer or your 15th, we are happy you have chosen to support the American Cancer Society. Together we are making strides against breast cancer.
