Moms in Motion running for charity
      By staff report
      April 15, 2007

A group of local women, called Moms in Motion, will be running in the annual Hibiscus Blue Ribbon Run and have been collecting household goods to donate for the Hibiscus Children's Center.

The fifteen women have been training for the past 10 weeks, combining
fitness with philanthropy. In addition to training for the Blue Ribbon Run
5K event on April 28, the mothers have also been collecting household
items from friends and neighbors to donate to the Hibiscus Children's
      Center thrift store in Stuart.

"Not only do we train for athletic events and take some much needed time
for ourselves, we support a local charity as a way to give back, and
adopting the Hibiscus Children's Center as our cause was a natural
choice," said Lori Vanhille, the team's leader. "Moms In Motion is not
very well known yet, but over time, as the team grows, I'm sure we will be
able to make an even bigger impact."

The group's members are

Lori Vanhille, Hobe Sound; Isabel Alcocer, Hobe Sound; Robin Capps, Hobe Sound; Cindy Fucigna, Hobe Sound; Marie Scholl, Hobe Sound; Michelle Tierney, Hobe Sound; Dori DiToro, Palm City; Michelle Edwards, Palm City; Michelle Smith, Port St. Lucie; Kim Czerwinski, Port St. Lucie; Lynette Gilliam,
Stuart; Tammy Grass, Stuart Robin Kass, Stuart; Natalie Miller, Stuart;

The group's long term goals are to further support the center by getting
local sponsors to put half of the sponsorship fees towards the Center's
wish list items.
