Moms In Motion : Connecting Moms Through Fitness

Moms In Motion is special to me for two reasons! First of all, I am a full time mom of four children between the ages of 8-l4. I have spent many glorious years devoted to their upbringing and still am in that wonderful and challenging process. Now that my youngest is at an age that he is in school longer and not l00% mommy dependent, I have a little more time to spend on me!!

Exercise is rewarding to me because it helps relieve stress and it also is a social thing for me too! What can be better then seeing your body firm up, feel mentally rejuvenated and get to be with the company of other wonderful women?!! Moms In Motion has been a great facilitator to these benefits!

Moms in Motion is also appealing to me because as a kid, although I was athletic, I never participated or was encouraged to get into any sports. Moms in Motion has been a safe and encouraging venue to explore areas of athletics that I normally would never try, such as swimming! Now that I found the wonderful little thing called earplugs, swimming no longer bothers me and I am finding that I am really, really enjoying the sensation of gliding through the water and getting a great workout without the heavy jarring on my body and no sweating!!

I have also seen a substantial improvement in my swimming, which in turn has given me more confidence in myself that I can truly obtain my goal of completing the upcoming triathlon and anything else that life throws my way!!
