About Me

I am so happy to be part of Moms In Motion!!  I started my first Moms In Motion running team in 2007.  I felt it was necessary to have this team for moms in my community.  After having a baby in 2006, I realized the importance of moms to take care of themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.  That is the reason I took a break from MIM until this spring.  I have been busy growing my family and taking some time for myself, but ready to get this group started up again.

I am a very busy mom of three children (5, 3, 9 month old).  I work as a Group Fitness Administrator for local franchise Motion Fitness as well as a fitness instructor.  I am an avid runner who loves to participate in events far and away.

Q. Who's your favorite sports figure past/present?:

A. My favourite as a kid was Michael Jordan.

Q. What keeps you motivated?:

A. My family reminds me how important it is to take care of myself.

Q. What are your athletic goals?:

A. To enhance my strength and cardio to complete half marathon.

Q. List 3 qualities about your self:

A. Supportive, Caring, Positive.

Q. What are your favorite races?:

A. So far, Las Vegas Rock n'Roll Marathon

Q. What is your biggest athletic learning curve?:

A. If you don't practice or work hard, you will not improve.

Q. Favorite artists, bands, books?:

A. Love to read books on fitness and nutrition. My favourite music for working out is pop music. My favourite music to relax to is jazz.

Q. How do you get through athletic mental/physical obstacles during training/event?:

A. I try not to put pressure on myself. I am practicing a healthy lifestyle, not to be a champion athlete. I am proud when I finish an event I set out to train for.

Q. Most proud moment?:

A. #1 - Getting married and my children; #2 - Won the Saskatoon city high school 100m dash. #3 - Working my dream job in a field that I am passionate about.
